The Marketing Coordinator brings this to life by ensuring community members are aware of all Mesa Rim classes, programs, and offerings, and by engaging with the community via social media, web and email channels.

The What:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for strengthening Mesa Rim’s relationship with its members, guests, and the greater active lifestyle community at their assigned site.
- Maintain effective promotional materials + social media content/posting calendarization across multi-department operations
- Manage site social media accounts including, but not limited to Instagram and Facebook ensuring visual communication is aligned with brand and effectively communicates identity
- Responsible for the design, formatting, and production of Mesa Rim materials for promotional marketing at the assigned site, including but not limited to Flyers, Posters, TV Slides, and Monthly Newsletters
- Responsible for maintaining Google Business + Yelp with accurate information in regards to offerings, hours of operation, and general business information or updates
- Support administration of advertising and marketing projects as requested
- Regularly work on-site, collaborating with the Leadership Team, cultivating connection with the community, and providing leadership presence during events
- Attend off-site events as needed
- In collaboration with supervisor, execute promotional and community engagement events at assigned site
- Work as part of a team and utilize proactive and professional communication
- Serve as a Mesa Rim cultural example, consistently demonstrating and holding others accountable to Mesa Rim core values
- Other work-related duties as assigned
Must-Haves:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must contribute to Mesa Rim Climbing Center culture
- Must have ability to seek and accept, as well as give, critical feedback in a professional manner
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and be a team player
- Must have a drive to grow professionally
- Must demonstrate a passion for climbing and have a minimum of one year previous climbing experience
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must have great verbal and written communication skills
- Must have professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must have excellent customer service and logistical skills
- Must have minimum of one year previous customer service experience
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented
- Must regularly demonstrate a high degree of initiative and follow through
- Must be able to work independently and creatively problem solve without direct supervision
- Must have previous marketing experience

- Experience with Google Docs
- Experience with Social Media Management (Instagram + Facebook)
- Experience with Graphic Design (Canva)
- Experience with Photography / Videography
